To give anyone who is following along an update, I’ve gone back through the script and re-edited it into comic book script format.
To give you an idea of how I work, I mostly dialogue a scene first then worry about the panels descriptions later.
Currently, the original script I wrote (back in 2006) which was completely thumbnailed, dialogued and captioned ran roughly 24 pages. I went back and added two scenes that roughly add 80 pages to that. I say roughly due to I’m still re-writing the prologue back into Final Draft format.
What this all means is I’m finally getting my ducks in a row. Once the script is completed, thumbnails completed and the iMac bought then the rendering can begin.
I will be taking down the Prologue pages shortly and put the original place holder Paul C had rendered back up.
More news as it becomes available…
So with June now upon us, I re-installed Leopard on my PBook and Poser 6 now all of sudden works. So, I may just move all of my files over there and re-render the scenes I already have.
Apple is currently having their Back to School Special and with myself going to NEIT in October my plans to buy a new iMac have lined up.
My intent for the time being is to get the script polished and thumbnailed and then begin re-rendering pages on the iMac.
More updates as they become available…
The transition to Comic Press 2.5 seems to have gone well. Certain colors may be tweaked over the next few weeks, but overall the update went well.
I’ve put the News Icon back and moved the button icons for Project Wonderful over to the side and upgraded them to square icons.
Still plugging away at the scripts. More updates later.
Also, new page of Lili Deacon is up.
There hasn’t been much going on recently with the comic because I want to stop with the text only pages and actually post some real comic pages.
The end of the prologue pages does include some panels, unfortunately, I just need to chip away at the credit card bills a bit more to get the models from Daz3d.
A few bits of news:
The Legend of Lili Deacon has been going for a month now and so far so good!
In a ramping up for the upcoming NaNoWrimo I’ve join a write 150k word novel in 3 months called Summerwrite over on Live Journal. The novel is WtG and takes place before the events of the web comic. My goal is to get the novel done so I have back story in place for the web comic.
I’ll be attending New England Tech in October for an Associates Degree in Graphic Design.
Make sure to check out MK Renderings.
And, whatever you do, make sure to see Iron Man in the theaters.
