Oshkosh…

Hellcat in July…

Hellcart in July, the longest running multi-photo spread on my daily Photo Blog should be coming to end towards the end of next month. I spent last night during Dresden and BSG uploading a months worth of photos and only eight photos shy of 120 pictures.

As for the next themed spread, it’s a toss up between the rainy Quonset National Guard Airshow 2006, the Two Day Red Sox Yankee Game Stint in June of 2006 or time delayed photos I took on the way home from the Red Sox Game in 2006…

My weekend…

(x-posted to my LJ)

My weekend was busier than usual…

I haven’t blogged about Airshows in a bit, the National Guard Airshow at Quonset Point here in RI was a bust due to weather. They’ve already listed for 2007.

And, now, it looks like Aviation Heritage Festival at Daniel Webster College in Nashua, New Hampshire is now busted too.

Let’s see was it the long lines for food? The long lines for parking? The vintage planes doing laps due not having wavers to do any aerobatics?

For those looking to get their fill of planes and don’t feel like making the trek to Oshkosh check the Collings Foundation Website for a List of Tour Dates in your area.

Looks like they’ll be going to Pease International Tradeport (KPSM) 9/25 - 9/27.

North Central/Quonset is nowhere on the list, at least not yet…

Serenity Saturday…

Mailed out some eBay things this morning. Then played some Halo 2. Then drove to Boston to meet up with my bro, drove over to Norwood Airport to oogle the Collings Foundation B-17, B-24. Had lunch at the little Airport Cafe, an awesome place, try the burgers.

Then, myself, my bro, chris c and his fiance went to Serenity Screening at Randolph Showcase. Three of the four of us had been to the previews already. I haven’t been in a Showcase since Incredibles since the Providence Place Mall has better seating.

Well, let me tell you, if I lived in Bosoton, Randolph would be my new stomping grounds. We went down not one but two escalators to get to Serenity in one of their big theaters. My cel phone lost it’s signal. If we were in California I’d might be tad worried about an Earthquake in a place like that but damn did Showcase Cinemas do a good job with this theater.

Fox out of Boston had the Red Sox loosing in the bottom of the 8th by the time the movie started.

After seeing two Serenity Previews and now the final cut I have to say it was tighter than it was before. Some scenes were added after the first preview and the audience we saw it with was much less than the previews ever were.

I doubt we’ll ever had that much audience participation like the crowd we had at that first preview ever again…

…unless, there’s a sequel.

Like most Browncoats I’d be the first one there with monies in hand.

It’s gonna be a busy Saturday this weekend.

Serenity Premiers this Friday. For those in inner circle we’re trying to narrow down Movie Theaters in Boston now. New Emails soon.

Collings Foundation will have their B-17, B-24, B-25 at Norwood Airport in Norwood, MA on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Wizard World Boston with guest Eliza Dushku and friends. No Serenity Guests, oddly enough.

An Airshow Review…

Daniel Webster College Aviation Heritage Festival is going on September 24th+25th.

Looks like good weather, bring some sun block, wear your good walking shoes and buy those extra DV Tapes now.

If anyone is going and if no one has taken a ride in the Collings Foundation B-17, B-24 or B-25, it’s worth the money. They except all major credit cards except American Express.

I see my apartment in a nice hue and red and green recharging my batteries…

I would be remiss in not spreading the word that Collings Foundation and their B-17, B-24 is up at North Central Airport, today, tomorrow and Friday.

It’s unfortunate it wasn’t on a weekend, but the Nashua Airshow next week more than makes up for it.

Also, anyone in the Norwood Area, September 30, October 1st and 2nd the B-17, B-24 will be at Norwood Airport. Make a day of it, hit Wizard World Boston, then go spend $400 (tax deductable) and then go see Serenity.

Makes sense to me. :)

Now if only, the Collings Foundation could get their Blog fixed…
