If 20k sounds like a lot a script, it really isn’t that much, “Off The Post…” was 18,403.
Still ponderous on what to write.
For we, the few, the proud, the poor souls who survived PGL 3, On The Lot is open.
Consider this the first post to get this blog back on it touch with it’s screenwriting roots:

With Spring upons us it’s time for Screeenwriting Contests!
Nicholl’s 2006 Application is now available to be downloaded!
And, even though we’re focusing on the web comic, I’ll still be sending out “Off The Post…” to a contests whose fees are low enough.
Disney, Nicholl, Austin, Scriptapalooza and Slamdance come to mind, thanks to Penda for the assist.
Congrats go to Could you discribe the ruckus? for getting his script picked up.
He mentioned using Moviebytes.com page Winningscripts.com page and so “Off The Post…” is now listed there too.
Can’t hurt to get the name out there.
Regarding the webcomic, we should have some more info available soon…
I had a nagging feeling something was wrong when reports of entries on the Feature Side of Disney had gotten phone calls and we hadn’t gotten a thing.
I haven’t gotten a letter yet, but after sending them an email about my phone number changing I received this email:
Greetings!
Fellows have been interviewed, selected and informed of their status for the feature side; letters regarding those who did not make it into the feature side of the program have been mailed out.
Finalists for the TV side have been interviewed this week. Everyone who did not make it to the final round in the television section of the program will receive written notification as to their status before the end of the week.
Fellows will be announced in February 2006. The application window for the 2007 Writing Fellowship will begin May 2006.
Thank you for your interest in our programs.
Oh well, always next year.
Just waiting on Zoetrope Contest…
Project Greenlight 3 hasn’t been mentioned on this blog since our first script “Off The Post…” didn’t place past the top 1000. I had only caught a few episodes of PGL 3, “Reality Televison” is like teeth on chalk board for me.
I hadn’t read Feast since it wasn’t part of the cycle of things to read during PGL 3. So, once this movie does arrive, since it’s been pushed back, I’ll be going into cold like Harry Potter, Narnia and Kong (yes, I know the Giant Gorilla falls off the Empire State Building, I don’t fall into this category.)
So, without much further ado, Project Greenlight 3’s Feast Trailer in all it’s streaming pixelated glory.
P.S. For those out in the digital ether whom been keeping track of our ups and downs, Disney Fellowship hasn’t contacted us, yet.
It would have been nice going into NaNoWrimo knowing we at least placed in Thrills and Chills Contest, but, we didn’t.
So just waiting on Disney Fellowship and Zoetrope results…
I haven’t talked about Screenwriting that much, lately.
Done Deal Message Board Poster states they were called by Disney Fellowship and said they made it into the top 20.
Haven’t heard a peep from Disney on either of my phones.
So, status quo until further notice…
