Let’s call this recipe: How fast can we force our AT&T/Apple Store Employees to quit?
Step 1: Announce Apple iPhone 3G.
Step 1a: Price it so almost anyone can actually afford the damn thing.
Step 1b: Make people wait a whole month until it’s available.
Step 2: Only allow in store pick up.
Step 3: Only allow in store activation.
Step 4: Release it on a Friday.
Step 5: Stir and let simmer for forty-five minutes until hot. Makes several thousand servings.
Now, Step 3 should not be a problem, all the other carriers do in store activation. The slight problem with recipe is the Apple Reality Distortion Field (ARDF) is at an all time high right now. Add to the fact that several Apple Cult Followers, er, I mean, fans have been known to actually arrive at an Grand Opening of an Apple Store some several hours/days early just adds spiciness to an already full recipe.
Sure, I’m still going to go. Hell, surviving an Apple Store Opening is one thing, buying a phone and walking out is piece of pie. . .

After being launched some 11 months ago, the Phoenix probe landed on Mars about 30mins ago and so far it’s been successful.

According to most of the Apple rumor sites there’s a rumor about AT&T Wireless restricting vacationing time from June to July.
If it’s true, thank you for the heads up, most of us were figuring the new 3G Apple Phone was dropping sometime around WWDC (June 9-13) anyway and this type of rumor (true or not) cements it even further.
And, if anyone is in the Boston area on the 16th, their new store is opening at 6pm.
Wordpress 2.5.1 arrived and so far is working aok. It’s probably me but it seems as though the admin dashboard is faster.
Doctor Who’s 4th Season arrives on Sci-Fi with the return of The Runaway Bride, Donna herself as the Doctor’s Companion. After the dud that was Voyage of the Damned, the 4th season starts off fine and continues to get better and better.
Quick review of Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse pilot script: Awesome. The science fiction is handled extremely well and down to earth. I’d highly recommend watching it.
Managed to install Word Press 2.5 on all the blogs and so far so good.
If anyone is running Mac Tiger Plug-In for their Admin Panel, I highly recommend disabling it first.

Anyone else having problems uploading their runs to Nike Plus? Only reason I ask is, my recent runs haven’t been recorded.
And, judging from the posts in both Apple and Nike Plus forums this appears to be an ongoing issue…
