The backlash of early iPhone adopters has begun and if I had been one like my bro, Chris C, Vanburen and slew of others to shell out $599.99 for 8gb iPhone, to quoteth Miss Vicky “Oh, I am ever so pissed.”
Thankfully, my Verizon contract doesn’t run out until June and I think, unless things change, I don’t foresee myself getting an iPhone, unless a 16 gb iPhone suddenly appears for the same price as the 16 gb iTouch.
The iTouch is what I’ve been waiting for. If the Nike+ works with it, I’ll probably just sell my NaNo.
Leave it up to Apple to dub something that sounds like it belongs in a Divinyls Video.
The odd thing is, I slightly surprised an iTouch Nano didn’t replace the NaNo. Maybe next year?
Or is this going to become that infamous SNL Skit where Jobs introduces something so small u can’t even see it.
Sorta explains why the Zune had a sudden price drop, eh?
Personally, I’m waiting until after Christmas to make my move…

How’s that for a workaround.
Ha.
Go forth and buy new iPods peeps…
$399 for a 16 gb iTouch
$399 for a 8 gb iPhone.
Hmm…

There’s currently a 30 day free trial of iWork ‘08.
If you’re a Mac User looking for a Word alternative and don’t really enjoy Open Office than I’d recommend iWork ‘08.
Unfortunately, iWork’s screenwriting template is still anemic. So, I still recommend Celtx for that.

There’s an Apple Event planned for September 5th.
So, there’s absolutely no need to go and buy an iPod now, m’kay?

Bleh. You know it’s a bad sign when you can’t even find a decent Rainbow Six game. Bring on Friday…
My bro got me a Nike iPod add-on for my birthday and I figured it would be easy to set up. Unbeknownst to both of us the sensor was fubar.
So, after setting up an appointment at the iPod Bar at PVD Mall and after waiting for someone to get their work mail synced properly through their iPhone the iPod Peep declared my sensor fubar and got me a brand new box and suggested we get it synced up before I leave.
(Also, for those keeping score: My requests for Christmas Presents can be Apple Store Gift Certificates.)
Driving towards the exit I get my ticket out and 1$ for parking, I noticed what everyone who has ever worked in a Cube Farm fears: The little blinking white light atop the Fire Alarm Speaker.
The toll booth chica who was on her way to a smoke break with her two friends didn’t seem to care about the fire alarm was going off.
I manage to get back onto 6/10/95 connector and the Fire Engine blazing it’s way down 95S definitely cares.
I assume it was some idiot who pulled it or maybe it was the rats in the ceiling.
Oh, also, don’t make an sudden moves but SDCC 2008 On-Line Registration is now available.
And, finally, from the WTF File: It’s slightly odd that Karl Rove steps down just in time for one his ex-aides to ask Jenna Bush to marry him, right?

One must wonder if the phone was $200 bucks less, how much worse the lines for the iPhone would be.
I’d imagine about the same length for the PVD Mall Apple Store Opening Day line.
Am I being too fickle when I ask where’s the $29.95 - $39.95 a month plan?

No.
I’m not standing in line with the rest of the cultists…er, I mean, Apple Phreaks.
If God, er, Steve Jobs told you not to go to an Apple Store on Friday then bygum there’s no need to go to the fucking Apple Store on Friday.
I’ve been to an Apple Store Opening once already, this is going to be ten times worse.
I don’t even want to know what the commission pay out on the iPhone is for Ma Bell (remember deregulation is good, good!), I’m willing to bet it’s horrible.
I feel for my fellow CSRs at Ma Bell, I’ll be doing the same thing they are when work rolls out Sprint Cell Phone Service.
The Good news is: No one is going to be waiting a week in line to get a Sprint Phone.
The Bad news is: How long is going to take to get the iPhone to all the other carriers?
Just stay away and let the other freaks like my bro, Chris C and Bob C buy theirs first then just oogle it from a distance.
Besides, I’ve got another year left on my Verizon Contract. I can sit back and watch the die hards with their Rev A phones crash and burn and bitch and moan about scratches on their screens…
Now, what I am waiting for is the next revision of the iPods cuz you know they’ll be using the iPhone Shell, how could they not?

Birth of the Boylston Apple Store.
This blog should be interesting to watch especially if the web cam, eerily reminds me of the live shots of New Orleans during Katrina.

Boston Globe Article about the Boylston Apple Store.
Yeh, I’ll probably be there in line if and when it opens.
Like you even needed to ask?

If you’ve known me long enough there’s a few constants in my life:
1. Apple good.
2. PC bad.
3. Most shitty movies get a “It wasn’t that bad.” review from me.
4. Red Sox rulz.
Constant number one tends to out weight all others. Thankfully, not to the point of becoming a Cult Member.
Thanks to the guys over at Applegeeks for finding this Mac Beautiful Video. Having already heard My Cubicle Video I think this one is a just a tad better, heh.
Her blog and her many videos are here.
