The Too Human Demo came out today.
I highly recommend downloading it.
It’s well worth your time.
Wil Wheaton’s post regarding this lovely game is pitch perfect.
I arrived at Best Buy on Tuesday morning after dropping Padre off at the airport for work.
A few people in front of me at in store pick up, then several more arrived and several more and -, well you get the point.
“I figured it was time for a sick day,” the over thirty guy in front of me grins.
Yep, this is what adult life has come down too. Calling out sick from work to play video games.
After playing Saint’s Row and Crackdown, I have to say after missing all the GTA shennigens from PS1/PS2, GTA IV is a welcome addition to the “weeee, I can drive anywhere I want, run people over, car jack anything I want and it’s all fake!” category.
Managed to carjack a similar car from Highlander only to have Queen’s Hammer to Fall greet me as I drove away and managed successfully to hulr myself and a stolen cop car off a unfinished bridge and kill myself on a Moped.
The only things missing from this game: First is a Halo 3 inspiried video replay/still camera feature so all of your crack ups can be saved for posterity. Second is an email system via FF XI to email the pictures and lastly, some way to actually quit the game instead of bouncing yourself out to the Xbox Menu.
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 arrived and I have to say I am glad it is back.
I have been playing Rainbow since Rainbow Six Three on the original XBox and while a few of the sequels have faltered Rainbow Vegas continued to advance the franchise and gaming in the right direction.
The Big Give airs tonight, 9pm, ABC. Hopefully, Padre’s 15 seconds of fame will be in there, somewhere.
Script Frenzy Website is open for registration. Script Frenzy begins in April 2008. I’ve decided to adapt my 2006 NaNoWrimo Novel entitled Bread, Milk and Blood: A Tale of Zzzooommbbbiiieeesss in Rhode Island and Providence Plantations.
Nicholl Fellowship deadline is May 1st.
Disney/ABC Fellowship deadline has not been posted, yet.
Newsfire 1.5, the RSS Feed reader I’ve been using for a few years is now free.
Call of Duty 4 patch finally arrived. More than a few bugs fixed and some of the new camera angles are nice.
Just a reminder for all Team Formation Members, Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 arrives on the 18th.
So with the XBox somewhere down in Dallas getting replaced Frontlines: Fuel of War Multi Player Demo is available today.
Having played the single player demo and discovered a COD/RB6 vibe from it, I’d highly recommend downloading the demo.
Will be interesting to see how the Frontlines Game Lobbies handle the pressure of 16 vs. 16.
While PVP or Penny Arcade or a million other on-line comics have already covered this. Sequential still bring a fresh, funny look at playing On-Line with a bunch of 5th graders.
Mass Effect is well worth buying.
“Mister Freeman, welcome back, we misssssssed you!”
The Orange Box for the 360 takes me back to when my family used to have a PC. Having moved onto Macs, Half Life 2, Episode 1 and 2 weren’t really on the radar until Orange Box for the 360 arrived.
The Orange Box is well worth the $59.99, you get Half Life 2, Episode 1 and 2, Portal and Team Fortress 2. Like Bio Shock, I forsee Orange Box pushing up my anemic gamer points higher and higher.
And, that’s a good thing in the end. These two games represent what I like about playing video games, a smart, interesting, one person dungeon crawl with a first person shooter thrown in.
It’s no secret that 360 has been lacking in action/adventure games since launch. First Person Shooters and Driving Games they have in spades but action/adventure/thinkers is something that hasn’t been touched on and hopefully with Bio Shock/Orange and soon to be Mass Effect more games will be arriving.
The translation from Desktop to Console is roughly flawless and the graphics are very impressive. While the vehicle controls leave a lot to be desired in the end once you get used to them, it’ll be like old hat.
Nope.
I haven’t finished it yet.
I’ve been playing it Legendary. Don’t ask me why people are playing on Easy or Normal. That’s no fun at all.
I figure I should complete it by sometime next year since it took me 2 days to make it through level one.
As for the multiplayer: It rocks.
The Forge is perfect. Granted, I wouldn’t have minded a full level editor, maybe in Halo 4?
The Theater is perfect.
The screenshots I’ve been taking are nice.
Now, if only my camcorder could record off the TV I’d be making my own Red vs. Blue.
