An RTS Halo Game.
Ah, this is why I bought a 360. I’m assuming the Game is going to be X-Box Live enabled if anyone learned anything from Battle.net.
Reminds me of the salad days of Starcraft.
Yep, I know the trailer is pre-rendered cut scene. Don’t ruin it for me. We’ve been living off Red Vs. Blue since Halo 2, cut us some slack, kay?
I had to go two EB Stores to hunt down Dead Rising.
The Demo was pretty good. I liked the fact you can add/delete clothes on a whim and they stay through the cut scenes.
The one small problem I see is not being able to export the pictures you’ve taken so you can one up other players online.
The other slight problem is no Live Play.
This is reminiscence of Bungie not putting out a patch to let Halo 1 run on Live. Slicing up Zombies with a Katana with glee and managing to get pictures of it and your crew (say maybe four people) of Dead Risers just seems like a opportunity that should have been.
Hey, if Final Fantasy can process screenshots and then email it to you, then so can Dead Rising.
It’s an odd thing the photography would be part of the game like this where each shot actually counts towards something.
Just need a bigger freakin’ CF Card for Frank’s Camera cuz that 30 pic limit is annoying…
Augie over at Various and Sundry posted this news link regarding E3 crashing and burning.
I’m surprised and amazed honestly, but, if the rent is too much it’s time to move on.
I suddenly see Penny-Arcade and the slew of other video game themed on-line comics having some sort of comment on this.
E3 was their Nerd Prom and now, it’s like Buffy Summers took a match and burned it all down…

Someone in the depths of Microsoft is getting a chuckle and probably a promotion because off this.
It almost feels like an Apple Idea.
The only thing needed is more widgets like last game played, different blog skins/themes or screenshots…
Got off work.
Went to Mr. Taco with the ‘rents for dinner. Since LOST was a repeat (and repeats until May, btw) swung into EBGames, grabbed my copy of FF XI Online, drove home, bought OJ at the market and settled in for the night while the Red Sox went on to win another game. Continue Reading »
For those FF XI noobs like myself a word of warning:
It takes at least 3 hours to install FF XI on your XBox 360.
Phantasy Star and Final Fantasy.
Two different RPG worlds for two different systems.
I’d be including Shinning Force in there too if the Saturn/Dreamcast had survived longer than they had.
PSO for XBox had it’s good and bad points.
Good Points: Good Graphics, use of the on-line headset.
The biggest bad point being the fact you couldn’t auto look with the right thumbstick, in order to turn around you have to hit a button. This problem is due to the Gamecube not having a thumbstick.
Here’s hoping they fixed that little problem.
The other bad point is the fact you have to pay a monthly service fee like WOW and FF.
So, on top of the monthly fee for XBox Live Gold there’s another fee too.
It’d be a nicer if these fees were part of the Live Gold Membership fee.
Just so long as they took the CCG (Collectable Card Game) feature out of the game play, I’d rather fight monsters in real time as opposed to pulling a Pokemon out of my butt…
